Tanned skin with no redness? It is really possible!

A wish common to all is having tanned skin without getting burnt or experiencing unwanted redness or erythema. Unfortunately, above all for people with a fair complexion, it seems to be an unattainable dream. But is it really that unattainable?

A solution exists and is called beta carotene! This substance, to which special supplements have been dedicated (BETA CAROTENE+) is an orange-yellow pigment that has been isolated from the root of carrots. Belonging to the carotenoid family, it is a vitamin A precursor.

Right thanks to this feature, it can help us with the so longed-for tan, that is given by a substance called melanin. This is contained naturally in the skin, in different quantities from person to person. Its function is to protect the skin from the aggression of the sun rays. Practically, the longer you are exposed to the sun, the more melanin is produced. One of the functions of vitamin A is exactly to stimulate the production of melanin!

This way, the complexion is more even and the skin defences are increased. Unpleasant sun erythema and burns are easier to prevent but sun creams must still be used.

Equally important are the antioxidant properties of beta carotene, particularly useful during the exposure. It is very useful also for the skin, making it more elastic, smooth and soft, preventing it from drying out and getting irritated because of the sun exposure.

Useful also for the health of your hair and healing, the sight and the adjustment to night vision, main source of vitamin A for vegetarians, essential for cell growth and differentiation, it can prevent dryness of the eyes and the anomalous growth of the bones.
